This is my favorite so far Leo, it didn't want to stop reading it. I totally agree about volunteering and supporting other causes outside of just gay rights. It's all about showing people that we are all humans alike and breaking the barriers. I love your message, very positive. Keep making them funny, I feel like they keep my attention and want to read more!!

Yours,
Amparo

I get home from a full days work and plop down on my couch. I turn on the tube. I want to see what’s been going on in the world while I’ve been typing away at my desk job. The top stories are about which celebrity got a DUI and who was the worse dressed at the last awards show. I care not. When did my news become anything but? Why am I left to flip through channel after channel searching for something of substance? Is the media catering to what the general public wants? What the general public considers news? God I hope not! Or is the media in cahoots with the government? Waving something shiny in their left hand to distract the masses while handing out money with the right? I want to believe, we as a people, would care more about a medical breakthrough than the latest trend, but I’m not so sure. What do you consider news?

That's not a bad idea...forming your own party. A third party, independent from the independents. At least independent implies going against the grain. What a breath of fresh air it would be for a party with new thoughts, ideas, and values to emerge. I'm in. It would be great to have a party I could whole heartedly agree with. I cannot name even one person who votes along their party lines 100 percent of the time. Why do we stray? It’s the issues and how we feel about them that matter. And feelings have a high variable of change. We live and learn. Our experiences, our realities shape who we are and what we are about. Party affiliation is a box to check on a form at best. Let’s break free from the party labels. Who’s with me?

I 'm glad to know that I am not alone in thinking there is such a thing as being too politically correct. That's what I view our government’s actions as in regards to \skirting the issues\ with the Chinese. We are so concerned about offending someone in today's culture we often fail to take a stand. This concerns me because as Alexander Hamilton said \Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.\

I agree with you...I'm glad you put all the facts out there, not just the black and white version. Sometimes we need to see the whole picture before we can decide what's right.
